A BEAUTIFUL PERFECT MASTERPIECE!!! It's short, simple and sweet. I loved the contrast of their b+w sprites to the colorful backgrounds, it really made the two pop. The range of sprite expressions.. AND animation?!?! It all came together wonderfully (Their little tweeny!sprites... SO CUTE!!) I also enjoyed the sound design, I loved the little negative boop whenever Takumi said something dumb LOL

okay now story-wise; it's such a bittersweet tale ;w; the parallel between past and present, what's changed (and hasn't) between Takumi and Eito... it is so delicious thank you.the more i learn about this au the more i want to learn! I love how their relationship has flipped... now it's Eito doing the chasing and trying to understand Takumi, and Takumi is the now the one shutting himself off from everyone (it's just work after all...) I also LOVED their sleepover ;w; they're just two boys who are friends! don't think about it too hard Takumi!!!!!!

All in all, I loved the atmosphere and story you created! You clearly have a strong style and it comes through in your work ^w^

FULL GAME SPOILERS FROM HERE ON IF YOURE SCROLLING BEFORE PLAYING THE GAME 

I LOVE THIS AESTHETIC?? opening up the game and getting hit with the music and title screen and i just instantly knew it was over for me, , , i love the blend of pixelated bgs and the black n white sprites So Bad. it mixes so well with takkun's lightbulb eyes and especially the use of color in some of the cgs later on, , , it all just feels so cohesive and purposeful its beautifu;l

AND THEN THE WRITING,,, god ur so goated lon,,, u have both takumi and eitos character voices down Perfect. it rly felt like i was reading takkuns in game narration,,,, , ,and ii love ur handling of eito he drives me insane,, , ,

THEIR LITTLE MIDDLE SCHOOL SPRITES WERE SO CUTE. i love how clearly earnest and well meaning yet just. fuckin failure baby takkun is,,, how he Is picking up on these things and trying so hard for his own selfish yet somehow simultaneously selfless want to understand eitokun , ,,and how eito struggles with it throughout the whole flashback. i Love the reverse mirroring of the future and past aswell, , ,  stupid takkun whos forgotten so much of that day when eito has each action and word became the building blocks to his salvation, , , ,

god eitos breakdown got me so bad. everything he was holding back just Spilling out and ending with him just admitting his fear with that fuckin spirtjjemdee i think that actually killed me lon ur going to be the cause of death on my tombstone

And the ending,,s,c,c,,  ogghg the religious psychosis. , , ,genuinely 1 of my favorite things ever. how everything so Perfectly lines up that it has to be real. Fated even. its so beautifully awful i adore it. Eitos greedy want he justifies to himself bcs Takumi is God and God is giving, , , , , , the way takumi just Clocks out. from his mundane truly ordinary life he was 'content' with to one he forces himself to keep viewing as his normal. his New normal. takumi and the only boy he ever wanted to Understand. in a sense, his wish is granted now, right,,?

genuinely getting that ending and just being booted back to the title screen as the good night option stared back atme. i had to just stare for a couple minutes oh my god man,, life is so beautiful and gachikoi au forever peak.

10/10 would lose my mind over again tysm lon fo sharing this with the world, , , , 

Reading this AU and especially these more "serious" installments of it, it really feels like you're getting into the heart of what the Cult route was trying to message but (IMO) was a bit clouded/hindered by having to adhere to/address the sci-fi/war premise and setting of the main storyline. Having them in a more casual setting like this makes it a bit easier to recognize and really sympathize with the tragedy of them being predetermined to be prevented in turn from reaching mutual understanding, because of some post-traumatic reaction from beyond their control... 

I was so touched by the Le Petit Prince paraphrasal... the headcanon of that (or its apprpriate in-universe equivalent) being Aotsuki's favorite book is SO painfully ironic and therefore SO good... I love the idea of him being internally such a bleeding heart romantic and yet due to The Circumstances being unable to form any meaningful connections himself... and that turning him obsessive and just further ruining his prospects... and despite all this he would stubbornly never admit to having been sucked into that sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. (Sorry for the tangent. Please interpret it to mean that you handled the character writing succinctly)

There being audio in the game was a nice surprise, and the msuic choices contributed well to the feel of the scenes, so I wanted to shout that out as well in this comment.

The ending OUGH... as a proponent of #torturetakumi I must admit that I love to see him warping himself for the sake of a normatively well-intentioned goal, and finally reaching it only to find that he can no longer enjoy it. That was my main takeaway of his character arc(s) in the truth routes of the game, and you similarly nailed it here. [wearing 3D glasses and with a bag of popcorn in hand] Somebody put that red thing through the wringer some more!

LONLONLONLONLONLONNNNN!!!!!!!!! whatdoIsay omyyygoodnesss the moment you teased that there will be an eitk valentine's special I've been looking forward and waiting the whole day on 14th almost unpatiently checking up on social media for it to drop..... hihiiiii oopsie daisyyy~ and by the time I woke up, I made my way straight to my PC to download that baby muhehehe THIS THING HAD ME HOOKED WTFFFFF?!?! I SO LOCKED IN first of all, I totally love the overall style of this thing?!? the kind of vibe it's giving dayummnn what beauty truly... The monochrome kind of sprites, the pixelated bgs, the music and sound effects you added AUEGH HELL YEEEE!!!!!!! it all perfectly adds up to the overall shady atomsphere, no words I can put it into to describe it gaaahhh I mean yours truly very art is always a pleasure so I expected nothing less!!!!!!!!!! the whole playthrough had me through an emotional rollercoaster where do I even start LMAO like I was screaming, shrieking, giggling, gasping, punching my thigh, covering my mouth, tearing up... I don't know what it did to me, but GOOD LORD save me LOLOLOL......sassy lil brat Eito was so funnnn wwwww n I really like the weird yet lowk super cute bond they had back then...Takumi is so nice....too nice hufhuffffueueueue AND WHAT IT DEVELOPED INTO LIKE- I MEAN DUHH MMHHH YEAH BABY GET US THE GOOD PORTION GACHIKOI WHICH WE ALL BEEN HERE FORRRR~ just for it to end on the best part JOKEJOKEJOKEEEE I cannot even blame Eito when it's Takumi we're talking abt hhrffhehegmrmrmgmuaavuafgsw....ouhhh and once Eito started reminiscing abt every little detail from that sleep over (THAT FREAK) the fishies, the stars THE EFFIN CONSTELLATIONS GAAAAAHHHHH, ALSONTHE PARALLESLSS it hit me so hard how much it meant to him I was soooo ouhuhohohoouuuhhhhgggggghhhh I'm so dead. peak yaoi. absolute cinematic masterpiece experinece. would recommend. yesyesyes
